The debate about light rail for Auckland goes on and on.
In the meanwhile, there is a simple solution for rail to the airport, which is a short, heavy rail link from Puhinui to the airport.
This will give a direct rail link to the entire suburban rail network. If a light rail system is eventually built from downtown to the airport, this will give us a second rail link, serving those suburbs along its route.
