  • Disclaimer: Whist reasonable care has been taken to ensure the information contained on the Site is accurate and the opinions given are fair and reasonable, Times Newspapers Ltd does not give any warranty of accuracy, reliability or fitness for any purpose of the information contained on the Site.

Law: This is a New Zealand website, therefore the laws of New Zealand apply and users submit to the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.

Advertising Terms And Conditions

Deadlines: Friday 3 pm week before email blast.
Material: Signed bookings are to be received no later than 10 working days prior to campaign commencement; if no such contract is received within that time the booking space will be released for sale.

Cancellation: Advertising cancelled in 15 working days of due start-date = 50% of booking value charged. Inside 10 working days = 100% charged.

  • Weekly rates are for a 7 day duration starting Monday morning and ending Sunday night.
  • All prices are exclusive of GST.
  • All advertising is booked under the current terms and conditions of the publisher.
  • Rates do not include any third party ad serving charges including DoubleClick or Eyeblaster.
  • Rates are for standard banner formats only.
  • Please contact us for prices on non-standard ad formats.
  • All rates are commission bearing.
  • Rates exclude production charges.
  • Impression and reader numbers are based on AC Neilsen Site Census.
  • Material is to be submitted no later than 10 days prior to the date of posting.

Prizes

  1. Prizes are drawn at random and are open to NZ residents only
  2. The decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into
  3. One entry only per competition
  4. Prizes cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash
  5. Winners will be notified via email
  6. We take no responsibility for prizes or entries that are lost
  7. Prizes will be delivered to the address given on the entry sheet
  8. Employees, contractors or consultants of Times Newspapers Ltd are not eligible to enter
  9. We reserve the right to use the winner’s details for promotional and media purposes

Guidelines regarding children

Times Newspapers Ltd takes the protection of children’s privacy very seriously. Times Newspapers Ltd does not encourage participation or visitation by children. Visitors who are known to be under the age of 13 are prohibited from becoming a member. Anyone under the age of eighteen is discouraged from participating in any adult related discussions or message boards.

3. Your responsibilities

You must not publish any information, software or other material that contains a charity request, or a petition for signature. You must not place material which constitutes junk mail or unauthorised advertising, (including solicitation of other users to buy or sell any products or services), in a discussion area, except in those areas that are specifically designated for those purposes.

You must not flood. Flooding is:

  • repeating the same line four or more consecutive times
  • typing a lot of gibberish (random keys)
  • repeating the same character excessively (including hugs)

We expect you to use a reasonable standard of language. You must not swear.

Shouting is when you type in capital letters. It is rude to conduct all your conversation in capital letters. It is acceptable to emphasise a word or two, but do not type whole lines of text in capital letters.

If you are abused, or if you have a problem

If you are abused in a private message, then type “ignore add [nickname]” where [nickname] is the nickname involved. You should print out and save those messages in case you ever need to refer to them.

If you have a problem or a dispute, or wish to make a complaint, please email the community host, and we will investigate the matter.

Changes

We may change our Terms and Conditions at any time by changing or removing existing terms or adding new ones. We will tell you about any changes by posting an updated Terms and Conditions on our Web site. Any change we make applies from the date we post it on our Web site.
