Buckland Beach Tennis Club has picked up a number of trophies at the Auckland Tennis awards.
The club on May 30 picked up the following Trophies:
- Junior Interclub club of the year (this was won last year as well).
- Senior Interclub club of the year
- Auckland Tennis club of the year
- Tennis Auckland will put BBTC forward for the NZ club of the year.
On top of that Jack Chapman won the Auckland Junior boy of the year. He is also NZ under 12 champion and has been selected to represent NZ in an upcoming tournament in Australia. Earlier in the year he represented NZ in tournaments in Australia and Malaysia.
Julia Sim (club coach) received a 20-year gold service medal.
“These are huge achievement’s for any club, but to win them all in one season is a great honour,” said Buckland Beach Tennis Club’s Brett Clarke.
