Police and St John Ambulance paramedics are this morning – July 6 – responding to an incident in Howick.
Multiple police and St John vehicles are at the intersection of Picton Street and Walter MacDonald Street.
Photos of the scene provided to the Times show police officers speaking to members of the public and appear to show paramedics attending to a patient in an ambulance.
A police spokesperson says a report was received at about 10.10am of a crash involving a car and a child on a scooter.
“The scooter-rider was said to be moderately injured, and was being treated by ambulance.”
