It was a disappointing start for me to wake up early on Sunday morning to messages from the public that the #Burns&Young signage had been vandalised.
I went live on Facebook with a frustrated and clear message that this is not acceptable behaviour and isn’t representative of the community I work tirelessly for.
It’s about the personal costs to campaign, to replace the signs and the time and effort put in to installing the signs.
You are not attacking Paul Young, you are attacking and insulting me, my family, our campaign team and the entire community.
I’m calling on anyone with information or cameras to come forward so we can stop these people going around defacing our signs.
