Z Petrol Station on Te Irirangi Drive, Botany Downs was the target of a “smash and grab”-style burglary in the early hours of Saturday morning.
A police spokesperson said three or four men arrived in two stolen vehicles at 3:55am and smashed the glass front door.
The sole employee locked himself in another room and was not injured.
Cigarettes and cash were the only items stolen.
Police have recovered both stolen vehicles and are reviewing CCTV footage.
