Pakuranga United Rugby Club took three from four across their teams on the weekend.

The Premiers played Otahuhu away at Sturges Park and clobbered the home side 44-6.

Lock Petuliki Vaipulu had a strong game in the forwards. Debutant Sione Taki crossed the stripe as one of eight tries in an impressive display.

Pakuranga was more closely matched by Otahuhu at the game’s start and took a 15-3 half-time lead into the break after a muddled opening stanza.

The second half saw the injection of Pakuranga’s more experienced players, including NZ sevens representative Tone Ng Shiu and subsequently ran away with the contest in the final 15 minutes.

Try scorers: Sione Taki, Tyberg Mauafua, Desmond Spooner, Feafaaki (Aki) Kaumavae, William Rew, Sam Shearer – 2

Conversions – Solofa Silipa 2
