Our rates keep going up despite assurances we were given prior to the previous council elections. The mayor cannot put the rates up on his own, he requires the support of the majority of councillors to put the increased rates in place.
Now is the time we need to look at how our councillors have voted on these issues and, if we do not want rates increasing, to vote accordingly.
