High density housing

After nearly 40 years of maintaining our Howick family home, we find the neighbouring property can be developed into five three-storeyed buildings built right on our boundary.

Any consideration for us not being required. These projects appear to take years of constant noise, cracked footpaths and portaloos.

This area also had excellent shopping malls. Pakuranga and Highland Park are now derelict and have been for years with the odd brave business still struggling on. The old Howick Library appears to have its lights on permanently and the interior has been trashed.

The Howick Village is special but so-called developers who are not interested in our special character are moving in to make a fast profit, possibly building the next generation of Fawlty Towers.
