
A pedestrian critically injured when she was struck by a vehicle in the Auckland suburb of Onehunga on Monday has died.
Police say a crash involving a bus and a pedestrian was reported at 11.20am on Church Street.
“A woman in her 80s was transported to Auckland City Hospital at the time,” detective sergeant Wayne Gear says.
“Sadly, she has succumbed to her injuries on Tuesday afternoon.
“Police extend our sympathies to her family and our thoughts are with them.”
The police’s serious crash unit continue to investigate the crash’s circumstances.
