Witnesses to crash involving bus and motorcycle sought

Counties Manukau Police are appealing for witnesses to a crash in Highland Park last weekend.

Police responded to reports of a two-vehicle crash, involving a motorcycle and a bus, on Pakuranga Road at about 5.15pm on Saturday, November 25.

One person was taken to hospital with critical injuries, where they remain in a stable condition.

As part of the investigation, police are trying to piece together the events that occurred leading up to the crash, and are appealing to the public for information.

“We are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash, or were in the area at the time and have information on either of the vehicles involved prior to the crash, to please get in touch,” a spokesperson says.

“Police particularly want to speak to those who were behind the incident when it occurred and stopped to assist.

“Anyone else who may have dashcam or CCTV footage of the crash, or has further information which may assist, is also asked to phone police on 105 quoting file number 231125/9434.

“Information can also be provided anonymously via Crimestoppers via 0800 555 111.”
