The Fencible Society
Come along to Howick Library on Wednesday, September 24, at 10.30am and listen to the Fencible Society give a talk on their organisation. The Fencible Society was established to promote the history of The Fencibles, retired British soldiers used to defend British settlers in Auckland.
Charity Quiz Night
Global Mesothelioma Awareness Day is coming up and the Mesothelioma Support and Asbestos Awareness Trust is staging its annual fundraiser to support the cause. Its quiz night is at 6.30pm on Wednesday, September 24, at Botany Commons at the Botany Town Centre. The quiz night includes drinks, nibbles and raffles.
