The Howick Village Business Association is inviting our community to share their messages, to be placed on a large Anzac poppy outside the Howick Information Service in the Market Square.

This art piece will allow people to commemorate those who have served and died in wars, conflicts and peace operations. The poppy will be available at the Howick Information Centre from April 15 .

Following a suggestion made by Janine from Howick and Pakuranga Times, Howick Village Business Association commissioned the art piece through local artist Grant Monaghan, supported by Manukau Beautification Trust.

Jane Newbury, town centre manager, said: “We are hoping our community will take the time to reflect and share their thoughts and memories as Anzac Day draws nearer.

“Howick Village will also have their annual Anzac poppy and white crosses display in Fencible Park.”
