Indian Ink Trust has received $3000 from the Mazda Foundation to enable students from Ormiston Junior College in Flat Bush to attend a production.

The trust is taking up residency at Ormiston Junior College to educate students on the arts through theatre workshops that cover set production, script development and mask and physical theatre.

At the end of the programme, the students will attend a performance by the Indian Ink Trust, where they will witness their learnings come together with the hope of inspiring a love of theatre.

Four arts organisations were among the seven recipients in the Auckland region to receive a total share of $27,000 in the first Mazda Foundation round for 2018.

The other arts focused recipients in Auckland were The Operating Theatre Trust, The Auckland Performing Arts Centre and the Auckland and District Pipe Band.
Outside of the arts, Sowers Trust received $612.92 for a gazebo.
