St Kents are Auckland rowing champions

The Saint Kentigern College Rowing Club squad.

The Saint Kentigern College Rowing Club has won the inaugural Auckland Secondary Schools Rowing Championships held at Lake Karapiro.

The Pakuranga-based school collected 10 gold medals, three silver and eight bronze.

It was a high-level performance across the club that lead to a total point tally of 105 compared with second placed 69.

“It was a fantastic achievement from the whole squad against strong Auckland competition,” premier team sport manager Lynne Scutt said.
