The BMW NZ Polo Open will be held at Auckland Polo Club in Clevedon on Sunday February 21.

With less than four weeks until the nation’s most competitive and social polo event, organisers are gearing up for one of the best yet.

The BMW NZ Polo Open will be held at Auckland Polo Club in Clevedon on Sunday February 21 and will present the best of NZ Polo with plenty of side-line action for everyone.

On the field the strong and dynamic competition between the teams – made up top Kiwi polo players – contesting NZ’s premium polo trophy will make it especially entertaining for spectators.

Entertainment is certainly the feature for the day. The famous ‘horsepower’ race between a BMW and a polo pony will once again perform for the crowd before the main match.

Fashion on the Field will be a showcase of exquisite style. Guests can compete in the Veuve Clicquot and Rodd & Gunn Dashes. For those keen to kick up their heels, the George FM Afterparty on the Club Setter Lawn will be a great place to be.

“Polo is such a thrilling spectator sport,” says Lucy Ainsley, executive director of BMW NZ Polo Open.

“I want everyone to be able to experience a wonderful day out and enjoy the surroundings and everything this event has to offer.”
