Police name victims of Auckland fatal crash

Police have publicly released the names of the three people who died in a crash in south Auckland.

They were Francis (Sesi) Mildred Latu, aged 35, of Waiuku, Marly Tulua, aged seven, of Pukekohe, and Oneahi Vailea, aged five, of Waiuku.

Investigations remain ongoing into the circumstances of the crash, which occurred on Masters Road in Waiuku at 3.30pm on July 15.

“Our thoughts remain with the families of Sesi, Marly and Oneahi at this incredibly difficult time,” Counties Manukau South Police area commander, Inspector Jared Pirret, says.

“The family’s request for privacy is ongoing as they continue to grieve for their loved ones.”

Police and the family want to acknowledge local police staff and members of the public who assisted at the crash site.
