Education Minister Chris Hipkins made a visit to Howick College last Thursday to view the property improvements the college has been able to complete over the past 12 months thanks to the Government’s School Investment Package.

The funding contributed to the building of the Community Development Office which was officially opened last year with a vision to develop and strengthen Howick College’s relationship with its wider community.

Another major project was the completion of the re-designed bus bay and shelters that has significantly improved the health and safety of students using the school bus service, Howick College principal Iva Ropati said.

“We are incredibly grateful for the Government’s assistance,” he said

“The funding has helped us to provide property facilities that are fit for purpose and to support learning and teaching at Howick College.”
