Howick Local Board is once again shining a light on Christmas with the switching on of the festive lights on the tree at Stockade Hill on Friday night.

Normally this was done as part of the Midnight Madness festivities, it has now become part of the Christmas Fair event, the lights on the tree and down the main street will be turned on signalling to all the little ones that Christmas is just around the corner.
The lights are due to be turned on at 8.45pm on Stockade Hill.
The Rotunda in the main street will be lit up as well as the motif light displays on the street poles again this year adding a lovely ambience to the village.
Thanks again to Howick Village Optometrists, HelloWorld, 101 Design and Marie Raos and Family for kindly sponsoring the lighting of the four main trees in the village.
Howick is now festooned with Christmas flags and Howick Local Board have installed Christmas star light motifs.
The Rotary Club of Howick are also proud sponsors of the tree lights at Star of the Sea Church.
