People with an interest and intrigue in puzzles can put their skills to great use this weekend at Ormiston Town Centre.

Partnering with the New Zealand Jigsaw Puzzle Association (NZJPA), Ormiston Town Centre is calling on the local east Auckland community to help complete a stunning 13,200-piece puzzle.

Until this Sunday, September 29, the giant jigsaw puzzle is in the shop next to the ASB bank for a unique event supporting Mental Health Awareness Week.

The NZJPA is a non-for-profit organisation dedicated to promoting community engagement and mental wellness through jigsaw puzzles, says its chairperson, Adele Bryson.

“We’re excited to organise a jigsaw puzzle event aimed at fostering creativity, collaboration, and relaxation within the community.

“This will be the first of many events, as this puzzle will travel through the country and other major cities,” says Bryson.

“We hope to also hold other activities to promote community wellness in the Auckland region.”

Ormiston Town Centre says the participation of the local community “will not only be a fun and engaging experience, but also a powerful way to show support for mental health initiatives”.

“Don’t miss the chance to be a part of this special event.

“Come join us, make new connections, and contribute to a meaningful cause.

“Let’s piece together awareness and create a brighter future, one puzzle piece at a time!”
