Refusing to let Covid be a spoilsport, and put a lid on all their plans, Mission Heights Junior College students have been rehearsing their socks off for their school production of All Shook Up.

“It’s 1955, and into a square little town rides a guitar-playing young man who changes everything and everyone he meets.

“Loosely based on Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, this hip-swivelling, lip-curling musical fantasy will have the audience jumping out of your blue suede shoes with such classics as Teddy Bear, Don’t Be Cruel, Hound Dog, and Jailhouse Rock,” says Gemma-Jayde Naidoo, producer and director of the musical.

The musical will be held on Tuesday, October 20, Saturday October 24 at the Joan Middlemiss Theatre (MHJC Performing Arts Centre). Doors open 6:30pm, show starts 7pm.
