A man reported missing in east Auckland this morning has been located deceased, police have just announced.
He was found by search teams in Bucklands Beach earlier today.
“Police extend our sympathies to his family and loved ones at this difficult time,” police said in a media statement.
The matter will be referred to the Coroner.
Police had been searching for missing man 88-year-old Zhichao Wang.
Zhichao was last seen at around 10am yesterday at his home in Mellons Bay, stating he was going for a walk to the beach.
