One of the most scenic Fun Run in Auckland, the third Rotary Allfit Coastal Run will take place this Sunday, November 8.

The run/walk has two distances, both one-way – the 10km from Duder Regional Park and 5km from Maraetai Beach.

As was the case last year, there will be a half-road closure from Maraetai for approximately 4km towards Clevedon from 9am-10.30am however the opposite direction will be open. There will be some parking restrictions that morning at Maraetai Beach.

Event director Alex Garden from the Rotary Club of Pohutukawa Coast Passport says, “It gives people a chance to walk or run along the lovely Maraetai Coast Road without having to worry about traffic as well be involved in a community event that promotes fitness and the natural environment.”

All participants receive a finisher’s medal and the event has a number of spot and winners’ prizes, food vouchers from local businesses and much more that will be presented at the event finish at Te Puru Park in Beachlands.

Online bookings close at midnight on Friday, November 6. Entries can also be purchased at the race number pickups at Te Puru Community Centre in Beachlands 3pm-5pm on Friday, November 6 and Saturday, November 7 or at the event start points.

This year there may be a pickup point in East Tamaki. Surcharge is payable for entries bought on the day of the event and payment must be in cash.
