Murder trial to begin

The man accused of murdering a young Pakuranga mother will stand trial at the High Court in Auckland today.

Chozyn Koroheke, 22, was fatally shot at close range at an address on Pakuranga Rd in April of last year.

Turiarangi Tai pleaded not guilty to charges of murder and possessing a firearm without a license at his last public court appearance in May.

The trial is expected to last a maximum of four weeks.
