Police are searching for three offenders following an armed robbery at Headin’ Home Bar on Ti Rakau Drive this afternoon.

The disguised offenders entered the bar around 12:30pm where around a dozen customers were inside.

Two of the offenders, who were armed with firearms, threatened the staff and forced the customers to lie down on the floor.

Shots were fired before the offenders fled the scene with cash and into a white car that was waiting outside.

Police would like to hear from anyone who saw what happened and has not yet spoken to officers or anyone who saw a white car parked in the bar carpark at around the time the robbery happened.
