YOUTH CHARGED WITH ARSON OVER MCDONALD’S PAKURANGA FIRE (Times, June 6):

Seema Clarke: Shocked to hear it was [allegedly] a 12-year-old, what consequences will they get.”

EAST AUCKLAND MUM WINS $125,000 RANGE ROVER FROM WELLNESS BRAND MOODI (Times, June 5):

Tina Whitford: Congratulations, well deserved.

Elizabeth Musto: Congratulations on this amazing win! You so deserve it.

Mia Foley: Great story. Well-deserved winner.

‘I’M NOT A RACIST’ – COUNCILLOR ON EASTERN BUSWAY’S MAORI NAMES (Times, June 5):

Errol J Keegan: Yes, I’m with you Maurice on this.

Val Lott: I’m with you Maurice all the way. Chinese, Korean and many other countries spend thousands sending their children here to learn English.

Jon Pryor: As new signs are needed and as old signs need replacing it’s a good opportunity to update them as they need replacing eventually, this then doesn’t need to be seen as additional costs as it’s just maintenance. A lot of people are concerned with budgets and are needing help so get upset when budgets are directed to things like billboards, advertising and signage. It’s always a tricky balance to get right especially during economic down turns when people’s stress is understandably elevated by compounding difficulties. Dual name signage makes a lot of sense considering our multi-cultural background as New Zealanders.

Billy David Davis: I’m a Maori that puts Kiwi before iwi. And I support Maurice Wiiliamson for his values.

Max Christiansen: No wonder the busses aren’t full. It’s going to be even more confusing than ever. Auckland Transport needs a major redirection.

Anthony Littlejohn: AT [has] done it all over Auckland Maurice, try riding a train also and see what you think.

Darren Payne: Hate to say this but I’ll still be calling them a bus stop and Flyover no matter what AT call them.
