ABC Howick has a week of fun and laughs in store for the BestStart Plunket Appeal Week.
Over the week of 1th to 15th March the BestStart Centre will take part in a range of activities, including a Teddy Bear Picnic, to raise funds for Plunket and highlight the valuable work they do.
Children, parents and teachers also plan to walk to Blundell Park with Plunket Banners and donation buckets, encouraging our community to donate and be part of our fundraising awareness.
All the funds will be handed over to their local Plunket Nurse at the end of the week and be used in the local community.
Plunket services set to benefit include parent support groups, playgroups, parenting education programmes, toy libraries and more.
Plunket’s National Fundraising Manager Carolyn Mettrick says Plunket is thrilled BestStart centres nationwide are supporting Plunket.
“We have a great partner in BestStart – we’re both all about growing great kiwi kids. Many of our community services require significant funding, so we appreciate these centres helping make a difference.”
