A Farm Cove family clipped their heads on Saturday to raise money for blood cancer.

Team Bason, headed by Paul Bason who lost his wife Nicky to cancer, raised an incredible $15,799 with his family via their Shave for a Cure fundraising page.

“Most of you know Nicky’s journey with blood cancer and if we can help other people with blood cancer to have a better outcome that would be incredible,” Paul said on their Shave for a cure page.

“There is some amazing new treatments available for blood cancers and everyone should have access to them.”

Donations flowed in for Paul, his brothers Mark and Scott and their father Bill (81) through their fundraising page “for this great cause, we are all shaving our heads in support of Nicky and all blood cancer patients”.

People can still donate after the shave. Visit https://shaveforacure.co.nz/paul-bason.
