Woman of the Hour
Actor Anna Kendrick makes her directorial debut with this slow-burning crime-thriller film written by Ian McDonald. It tells the story of notorious serial killer Rodney Alcala, who in 1978 appeared as a contestant on the television show The Dating Game. Alcala was arrested the following year and was found to have killed an unknown number of women and girls. Kendrick stars as the game show contestant Sheryl Bradshaw while Daniel Zovatto plays the menacing Alcala.

The Wild Robot
This 2024 North American animated science fiction film is produced by DreamWorks Animation and based on the 2016 novel of the same name by Peter Brown. The film features the voices of actors Lupita Nyong’o, Pedro Pascal, Kit Connor, Bill Nighy, Stephanie Hsu, Matt Berry, Ving Rhames, Mark Hamill and Catherine O’Hara. Its story follows a service robot named Roz who’s shipwrecked on an uninhabited island and must adapt to her surroundings, build relationships with local wildlife, and become the adoptive mother of an orphaned goose.
