TEEN THIEF SPITS AT POLICE DURING EAST AUCKLAND INCIDENT (Times), August 18:
Ali Shoayb
- When targeting shops becomes too hard they’ll start targeting handbags, cars, phones etc.
Inga Hall
- Tougher action needed for these little brats!!!
“EXHAUSTED’ AUCKLAND NURSES TO BEGIN STRIKE ACTION (Times), August 18:
Maurice Upton
- Nurses should at least get a 2.7 per cent CPI equivalent wage increase. Not their fault the Labour Government borrowed heavily and caused inflation.
Ronwyn Allen
- Nurses don’t strike easily. They are really concerned about healthcare.
ARDERN, HIPKINS DECLINE TO APPEAR AT COVID-19 INQUIRY (Times, August 14:
Margaret Hawkeswood
- The current Prime Minister and Government should focus on current health issues and paying nurses and caregivers a respectable salary. Also they should reverse pay equity legislation which was a kick in the guts for all women.
Jocelyn Leo
- They have already given all the information the enquiry needed from them. They don’t need to be there. Jacinda probably has security concerns too, there is so much hatred towards her for saving lives which had to be the number one priority but not everyone sees it that way.
Maurice Upton
- They know there’s no punishment for their decision-making. It’s another toothless inquiry.
Chris Sullivan
- They have already given evidence to the commission in private. Why do they need to do so again? This looks like a politically-inspired kangaroo court more interested in political point-scoring than a genuine enquiry into our Covid response and what we can learn for the next epidemic.
Lindi Marrett
- They should have to and I can’t understand why they are not being made to, it’s pathetic. They gave themselves power to be cruel and nasty whilst exempting those they deemed to be “worthy”. Unbelievable. Set up the destruction of New Zealand economically and socially.
Bronwyn Le Grange
- They have already spoken. So why is the media making a mountain out of a molehill? This Government should be focused on the cost of living and not constantly pointing fingers at the last one. It’s honestly disgusting.
Dale Nolan
- Except they didn’t decline. They appeared and were questioned as asked as part of the inquiry – answered all that were asked of them. You are wrong – so wrong and desperate and should check your facts before posting misinformation. Just politicising.
Max Christiansen
- Funny how they said they are the most transparent Government ever, don’t listen to anyone else only listen to them they will tell the truth. Now they are being asked they don’t want to say anything? Hmmm perhaps they really don’t know how to tell the truth.
Warren Knight Knight
- I absolutely don’t blame them at all, especially as the horrendous treatment given out to them by so many factions of very angry stupid people.
