Looking after your mental health is just as important as taking care of your physical health – and getting help early can make a real difference.

East Health Trust clinics across east Auckland are here to help.

With the support of Health New Zealand – Counties Manukau, we’re able to offer funded Wellness Support sessions designed to help you navigate life’s challenges.

These sessions are easy to access through your local GP clinic and are delivered with care and understanding.

Every year, many people in our community benefit from these services when dealing with things like:

  • Trouble sleeping
  • Feeling anxious or overwhelmed
  • Low mood or depression

If you’re struggling, you don’t have to go through it alone.

Your GP can connect you with the right support through our wider East Health network, including health improvement practitioners, health coaches, peer support workers, group activities, and even psychologists or counsellors who can help with in areas like:

  • Depression
  • Stress management
  • Goal setting
  • Maintaining a Healthy Lifestyle

Rudy Bakker, our East Health PHO Mental Health Co-ordinator, says: “Our team approach means you’ll receive support that’s accessible, co-ordinated, and suited to your unique needs.”

Talk to your local clinic today to see how we can help. Seeking support early is one of the best steps you can take for your health and wellbeing.

And be sure to check back here in the Eastern Times for more local health updates coming soon.
