At this coming Saturday’s civic/ecumenical service at Howick’s All Saints Anglican Church (3.30pm) as part of the 175 anniversary events, the Pakuranga Choral Society will be making a special contribution.
The choir is singing a brand new piece composed by conductor David Hamilton, with words especially written by noted American poet Michael R Burch.
The poem, entitled We Come Together, speaks of people of different lands coming together, facing their differences and learning to live together in a diverse and harmonious community.
