The Times newspaper is a respected weekly publication which grew from the Howick and Pakuranga Times, launched almost 48 years ago. Independently owned, and fiercely local, the Times name is an icon in East Auckland, known for its community instincts and wide coverage of a diverse range of news. It is distributed to 47,960 households every Tuesday and also operates an active website and Facebook page. Circulation stretches from Pakuranga through to Half Moon Bay, Bucklands and Eastern Beaches, Howick, Botany, Flatbush and Ormiston aswell as Whitford, Beachlands and Maraetai.
