
Police say a person has died following a crash on Neilson Street in the Auckland suburb of Onehunga yesterday afternoon, August 21.
“Emergency services were called to the crash, between a vehicle and cyclist, just before 3pm.
“Unfortunately, the cyclist died at the scene. The Serious Crash Unit attended the scene, and the circumstances of the crash are under investigation.”
Just before 3.45pm yesterday police said emergency services were responding to what they described as a serious crash in Onehunga.
The crash, between a vehicle and cyclist on Neilson Street, was reported to police just before 3pm and early indications suggested one person was in critical condition.
Neilson Street, between Galway Street and Selwyn Street, had been closed.
The Serious Crash Unit was notified and motorists were advised to avoid the area and seek an alternate route.
