UPDATED: Three fire trucks responded to a fire incident at a house in east Auckland this afternoon, July 22.
A Times reporter near the location in Wycherley Drive, Bucklands Beach, says three fire trucks were in attendance.
Fire crews from the Howick, Mount Wellington and Otara fire stations were called to the scene.
Smoke could be seen billowing from the residence from some distance away at about 3.15pm.
Fire and Emergency NZ temporarily closed Wycherley Drive between Gills Road and Ervine Place.
The fire was contained and extinguished by 3.30pm and there are no reports of anyone being injured.
