Police say a person has died following a workplace incident in Auckland earlier today, July 14.
Police were called to the scene at a house in Rangitoto Avenue, Remuera, just after 9am.
“An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident is under way and WorkSafe has been advised,” police say.
News media are reporting the incident involves a concrete truck having fallen onto the house.
The victim was initially said to have sustained critical injuries, with police saying later the person had died.
Photos taken at the scene show a large Isuzu truck leaning up against the house.
It has since been pulled away from the property by another vehicle.
A spokesperson for Hato Hone St John says the organisation was notified of the incident at 9am.
“One ambulance, one rapid response unit, and one operations manager attended.”
