Permanent full-time position Property Manager for large Primary School

(40 hours per week)

Will be expected to lead an existing property team of full time and part time employees.

Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day.

The position will require you to oversee the day-to-day operations of our facilities, organise the staff to ensure all maintenance and repairs, regular inspections, and health and safety compliance expectations are met.  The successful candidate will be able to coordinate contractors on our site and ensure that all property improvement projects are completed within budget and within the expected deadline.

You will work closely with the Associate Principal in charge of the school property and report directly to him/her.

This role requires a candidate who:

  • Has practical, hands-on maintenance and construction skills.
  • Possesses excellent people skills to work with a wide range of people, from children, staff, contractors and school leadership.
  • Is flexible and willing to adapt to the changing demands of the role.
  • Takes the initiative to problem solve.
  • Highly organised.
  • Shares our school vision, values and culture.
  • Is able to understand that 5 year olds do not always understand our expectations and may get in the way – a sense of humour required!

You must hold a New Zealand Drivers License.

Height certification and other Health and Safety certified training will be an advantage.
