Police are speaking to a person of interest following an alleged sexual assault in east Auckland.
In a post on a community Facebook page the victim warns people to “be careful” and to “keep an eye out”.
She says that at about 9.55am on Thursday, May 15, a man wearing a red jumper and blue pants sexually assaulted her while she was walking her three-year-old child to daycare on Reeves Road in Pakuranga.
“He touched me in places I didn’t want to be touched.
“I’m honestly feeling so frightened and shocked as it all happened so quick.
“Thank you to the people who pulled over to make sure I was okay!
“If it wasn’t for a man who witnessed this while driving … I feared he would’ve done more.”
The Times has contacted the woman but has not received a response.
A police spokesperson says: “Police are speaking to a person of interest following a report on an incident in Reeves Road, Pakuranga.
“This is in the very early stages and police are making enquiries to understand the full circumstances of what has taken place.”
