Great weather, fabulous fashions and a joyful crowd were among the big winners at this year’s superb Ssangyong Counties Cup Day.
Thousands turned out at Pukekohe Park for a near-on perfect day of exciting racing, entertainment and Fashions in the Field plus food and refreshments fit for a king. Pokeno local, Belinda Green took out the top prize in the female section of Fashions in the Field and Geoff Smith, the men’s section.
On track, in a thrilling finish in the $100,000 Ssangyong Counties Cup race, Maygrove edged out three close contenders. Photographer WAYNE MARTIN put racegoers in the frame.
