Flat Bush rally team Matt Jensen and Kieran Anstis finished second in class and eighth overall at Rally Coromandel, the 4th round of the New Zealand Rally Championship.

With brake and car set-up issues, the team struggled through the first four stages of the day but were able to keep in touching distance of the front runners. The issues were resolved at the second service allowing the duo to have more confidence going into the final stages, with two sixth fastest stage times moving them into eighth overall at the weekend.

“We made a lot of new changes to our pace note system before the event that proved to be very positive,” says Jensen.

“The conditions were tricky so to get the car home in one piece with a good result is a great feeling”

The team’s focus is now on the next round in October at Rally Waitomo.

“We are really looking forward to the next event. We have a lot more speed to come.”
