Fishing report

This fishing is just through the roof, next level, amazing!! Well if you’re heading out wide that is.  Plenty of big Snapper have been landed out in the firth around the 39 meter mark. Slow jigs have been one of the favourite ways to land these fish, come in store to check out the range we’ve got, feel free to ask the staff which colours work best!

There are also record numbers of Gurnard being caught by anglers, and they’re nice and fat too! What a delicious fish for the dinner table. Lots and lots of big Kahawai around people! Be ready with those little spinners, so you can catch yourself a feisty
fish to smoke up!

Plenty of fish to be caught in close, they just seem to be a smaller size at the moment, with most of them 30-35 cm.  Anglers that got out over the past week reported catching their limit in only an hour, so it shouldn’t be too tricky to get a feed for the family. Try spots like Home Bay, Parks Point and Sergeants Channel.

Top Baits : Mullet, Squid, Mackerel

Until Next week, Tight Lines
