A roadshow taking place at Te Tuhi this afternoon aims to highlight the responsibility of volunteers and volunteering organizations to safeguard children in their care.

The 90 minute presentation will provide those in voluntary and community sectors with the resources and information to assist in understanding responsibility when engaging with children.

Hosted by Child Matters and Community Networks Aotearoa, the nationwide show will also provide volunteers with access to resources to help with the development of safe child protection systems.

Volunteers or volunteering organisations who interact with children, visit locations where children may be present or want to know about good practice when dealing with vulnerable children or children suffering from abuse are highly encouraged to attend.

The seminar is free and will be held today from 2pm-3:30pm at Te Tuhi, 13 Reeves Road, Pakuranga.
