My oat! A new muesli offering from Vogel’s couldn’t have come at a better time – just as the school term starts and youngsters (and working families) are looking for a hearty, healthy start to the day.

In its new Luxury Blend range, Vogel’s has carefully researched the most important and sometimes over-looked ingredient in muesli – oats, a wonder food packed with goodness.

As a result the company has found two special varieties that discerning cereal eaters will find intriguing – Armstrong Oats from Otago & Southland, and ‘Pure Oats’ from specialised farmers in Oregon, USA.

The best natural ingredients, together with these two carefully selected oat varieties are blended into three delicious flavours and packed in a new resealable bag for ease of use and convenience.

Vogel’s Luxury Blend Macadamia, Date & Honey and its Mango, Melon & Pohutukawa Honey Mueslis are made with spring sown Armstrong Oats, unique to New Zealand and cultivated for their love of the heavy soils and cooling Otago and Southland rains.

Vogel’s Luxury Blend Maple, Walnut & Almond Muesli (ideal for those on gluten-free diets) is made with ‘pure oats’. Many oat products come into cross-contact with gluten containing grains such as wheat, rye or barley during harvesting and milling.

Vogel’s have solved this problem by sourcing ‘pure oats’ for this muesli, which are grown in clean, dedicated oat-growing fields and stone ground in a wheat-free mill in Milwaukie, Oregon, USA.  No other gluten containing ingredients are used in this muesli.

Available at all good supermarkets.  RRP $9.90.
