CAITLIN Riedstra had an under-17 national netball champs to remember, being selected as one of three Counties Manukau players in the end-of-competition tournament team.
The Beachlands resident and Saint Kentigern College student, who plays for Papakura, was a key member of the Counties Manukau under-17 side that had an “outstanding week”, says Netball Counties Manukau’s Nicole Terrill.
“They only lost one game, by one point. Finishing in a credible fifth position, the team was edged out of the top four play-offs by Wellington, losing 30-31. Wellington lost the final to Auckland Waitakere by a goal.”
Other Counties Manukau players who made it into the tournament team were Stephanie Collins and Nadia Loveday.
