PLAYING in her biggest tennis final last weekend, after 24 consecutive wins on the ITF Pro Circuit Tour, Pakuranga’s Sacha Jones has enjoyed amazing progress throughout the past month.

At tournaments in Australia, she won three singles titles against former world top 10 player Alicia Molik and moved steadily up the professional rankings.

Unfortunately for Jones, her 25th match ended her big run to the top.

She reached the final of the $50,000 Goldwater Classic, on hard courts at the Phoenix Country Club in Arizona, losing to hard-hitting second seed American Varvara Lepchenko 0-6, 0-6.
