A RANGE of financial advice will soon be available from a new business banking centre.
The BNZ is merging its four existing business advice centres at East Tamaki, Penrose, Manukau and Auckland Airport into a BNZ Partners super-centre at Highbrook business park.
BNZ Partners has been set up by the bank to provide a more personalised and customised relationship with business clients. They operate separately from retail branches.
A team of 55 specialist partners, who were based at the individual business centres, will be brought together to operate from Highbrook. Businesses or private “high net worth” individuals with large investment portfolios will be able to access specialists at the super-centre, in addition to carrying out regular transactions through their local branch.
The centre will offer a complimentary meeting room, which includes free access to video conferencing and wireless interest.
“Many businesses prefer not to invest their capital in their offices and technology, but still need facilities for important client or board meetings,” says Phil Roach, managing partner at the Highbrook centre. “Businesses in South Auckland are vital to a thriving economy.
“Strongly represented in the region are clients from the manufacturing, engineering, importing, exporting and logistics centre.”
The new super-centre will be located at 86 Highbrook Drive, East Tamaki.

BNZ’s lease in Central Terrace has expired, and all staff and customers transferred to the new site in Picton Street today.
There are circular teller desks in the middle of the store, and digital signage replaces traditional window poster displays.
Customers will be offered free internet access, a kids’ zone with flat-screen TV, a digital community noticeboard and video-conferencing facilities to link small business customers with specialists.
New security technology will also be an integral part of the new store. For example, the SelectaDNA HydraSpray product, which is a unique synthetic DNA solution, will be sprayed on offenders.
