Last week the Times published details about The Terraces, which will replace the long-vacant green building on the corner of Wellington Street and Fencible Drive.
Within 24 hours, eight inquiries had been made, says Steve Maserow, of Barfoot & Thompson’s Howick branch, which is marketing the residential component of the building. Dubbed “grande boutique living”, the residential component will involve 12 loft apartments, 12 single-level terraces and 10 double-storey terraces.
A marketing campaign will start in two weeks’ time.
“We’re chuffed to have such positive enquiry from people who want more information about these apartments,” Mr Maserow told the Times.
Meanwhile, negotiations are under way for the retail component of the development, which is being marketed by Bayleys Realty.
Geoff Wyatt, of Bayleys, says small retail offerings will be available, while talks are continuing with potential anchor tenants for the Fencible Drive site.
• The company undertaking The Terraces development is property developer Augusta Group, not Augusta Funds Management which is a separate company.
