MISS Howick 2008 contestants invite the community to attend a charity movie night on July 9, raising money for Cure Kids.

The event at Berkley Cinema Botany Town Centre will feature a showing of the new movie, Mamma Mia!, a musical starring Meryl Streep, Colin Firth and Pierce Brosnan and featuring the music of ABBA.

Tickets  are available through Val Lott on 535-7782 or 0274-767-003.  Tickets limited so be in quick.

Proceeds go to the pageant’s chosen charity, Cure Kids, a non-for profit organisation which raises money to fund research in to the treatment and cure of life-threatening illnesses in children.

MISS Howick is one of the longest running and most prestigious pageants in Auckland and celebrates its 20th birthday this year.

Local businesses and organisations can become involved in this high-profile event by sponsoring one of the contestants to achieve her dreams in being crowned Miss Howick 2008.

This year’s pageant, scheduled for later this month, has attracted 18 beautiful young women in pursuit of the accolade.
