Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow, running from November 21-December 5, rings in the festive season and also brings to an end official celebrations marking the company’s Golden Jubilee year.
Appropriately, it will be packed with songs from musicals Harlequin has staged over the past five decades.
The audience will hear favourites from shows such as West Side Story, The Sound of Music, Annie Get Your Gun, 42nd Street, Jesus Christ Superstar, Mack and Mabel, Rent and many more.
Susanne Dell, who has directed and choreographed many Harlequin shows in the past, again steps into the director’s role. Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow also sees the return of musical director Campbell Downie who has worked overseas for a number of years including as pianist for Dannie La Rue.
Set designer Simon Boyer-Willisson brings his talents to the stage together with lighting designer Nik Junerick. Choreographer is Vanessa Hales.
The majority of the cast have also appeared in past Harlequin productions including Carl Briggs who appeared in the theatre’s 40th anniversary show.
An eclectic, two-hour mix of singing and dancing with some original costumes making an appearance, this is a show for all ages.
