Some things just seem better with age and the music of the past is no exception.  All those catchy tunes that crackled out of transistor radios at the beach or the funky stuff everyone boogied to at discos will be coming to Bucklands Beach Yacht Club on Saturday, November 3.

This extravaganza of entertainment is open to the public as well as all yacht club members, including those who haven’t visited the club for a long time.

Dynamic and talented performers, The Sound Workshop promise to have the most timid person out of their seat and on the dance floor with their hugely popular production, Dancing Through the Decades. More than just a band, this is a complete show, pumping out music and polished dance moves.

After guests have indulged in a five-course buffet dinner the place will start rocking, launching with hits from the 50s and 60s.  With costumes and dances to match this rock‘n’roll era.

The Sound Workshop guys and girls will take people back in musical history.

A quick costume change and the show will turn disco with mirror balls, afros and groovy 1970s flares.  Let the good times roll.

Before the crowd can blink they will be transformed into the decade of misplaced fashion.  Seriously bad frizzy fringes, mullets and miniskirts of the 1980s will be brought back to life to remind guests of embarrassing moments.

For $55 per person, guests are not only entertained they are sure to be well fed by the club’s quality restaurant crew.  The buffet dinner promises fresh variety.

In a prime position overlooking Half Moon Bay Marina, Bucklands Beach Yacht Club is a major asset to the area.  By opening the doors to the local community the club is keen to show off the stunning restaurant, now fully appointed with updated décor, spectacular entertainment and of course, sumptuous food.
